Description
DescriptionYou will ensure our AirPlay features like Whole Home Audio, Home Theater etc. is delivered with the highest quality AirPlay experience using iPhone, Mac, HomePod, Apple TV, and third-party receivers. You will work very closely with development and multi-functional teams to ensure AirPlay quality and performance is of the highest level. You will cover a broad span of test areas involving functional, performance, and reliability testing. Responsibilities of this role will include manual and automated testing, writing automated test cases, triage of issues, reporting on project progress, and risk analysis.
Responsibilities
- Drive comprehensive testing of new features from early design phases through product launch and customer delivery
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and testing strategies for feature development and ongoing validation
- Implement functional, performance, longevity, and reliability testing across all supported hardware configurations and triage test failures
- Collaborate with engineering teams and other multi-functional teams to understand feature requirements and identify potential risk areas
- Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains stable with new releases and updates
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and end-to-end tests to deliver quick, effective, and repeatable testing
- Provide clear, actionable status reports to collaborators at all levels and create comprehensive test reports with risk assessments for product releases
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or practical experience
- Proficient in development of new test automation using Python
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong QA/testing knowledge & experience
- Familiarity with iOS, Mac OS X, and Unix
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,700 and $203,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
