We are seeking a talented, self-motivated motion scientist to build Apple's next-generation features and experiences using multi-modal sensing. In this role, you will ideate, design, and implement algorithms & models, while optimizing for power, memory, and performance. You will be creating and driving motion sensing-related features and interactive technologies that impact over a billion customers. Responsibilities include: Evolving and realizing the technical vision for CoreMotion and working cross-functionality to align on that vision with partner teams Providing clear technical communication and guidance both for the team and leadership Developing and deploying state-of-the-art motion features for low-power, embedded systems

Minimum Qualifications

• You have domain expertise - MS, PhD, or 5+ years experience in mechanical engineering, computer science or related disciplines
• You have a track record of success - developed impactful features with a proven track record to optimally prioritize and deliver tasks on schedule
• You have a strong product focus & have provided creative solutions that balance technical complexity and user experience

Preferred Qualifications

• You're experienced developing for embedded or real-time systems in C/C++
• You have deep technical knowledge of signal processing, motion estimation and system modeling
• You have experience developing interfaces between algorithms, software, and firmware
• You're experienced with multi-modal algorithms, including IMU, images, video, and/or audio
• You thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while driving multiple projects across teams
• You are obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to solve everyday problems in innovative ways
• Laser-focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers
• Experience developing on Apple platforms

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
