Description
DescriptionThe team you will join is responsible for designing and delivering health features for Apple's wearable devices. We are highly collaborative and partner with a variety of teams across Apple.
Responsibilities
- Solicit and consolidate requirements from sensor engineers for algorithm evaluation, behavioral modeling, data quality analyses, outlier analyses, and factory data analysis tools. Develop and maintain these tools/codebases/pipelines and consolidate common blocks.
- Manage and analyze data from user studies to identify key behaviors and establish relevant dependencies.
- Produce / present meaningful data visualizations to the team.
- Evaluate the impact of design choices on engineering metrics; propose trade-offs; and communicate the results and insights to cross-functional teams.
- Maintain simulation code with best software engineering practices, optimize and refactor codebase when necessary for performance and readability.
- Use developed code to predict system/user performance across a range of operating conditions including HW/FW settings, user physiology, ambient conditions, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience writing, debugging, and maintaining computer simulation code with strong software development skills, with proficiency in Python.
- Experience developing data analytics systems for early-stage projects to help team learn about unknown dependencies.
- BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with unit test development.
- Collaborative and willing to work in cross-functional fast-paced technology development.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field with 2+ years of relevant hands-on experience.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
