DescriptionTo succeed in this role, you must be a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, working across teams and organizations. Responsibilities
- Feature Innovation: Contribute to the design and implementation of innovative features that leverage Apple's unique hardware and software capabilities, including advanced image processing, computational photography, and machine learning.
- Multi-functional Collaboration: Partnering closely with design, marketing, photography specialists, and other engineering teams to translate user needs and creative visions into exceptional software experiences.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure our applications set the benchmark for speed and efficiency, by expertly optimizing for large-scale image processing and real-time interactions, resulting in an unparalleled user experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1+ years of industry experience building iOS applications in Swift or Objective-C.
- Experience using Apple's core frameworks, ideally PhotoKit, Core Image, Core Graphics, AVFoundation, and Metal.
- Familiarity with essential tools (Xcode, lldb, Instruments).
- Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related subject area, or we may consider an equivalent industry experience.
- Prior experience solving real world problems in complex, high-performance environment.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment within a multi-functional team.
- Committed to encouraging an open and inclusive work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with creative photography tooling.
- Experience with media editing applications.
- An understanding of modern camera technologies, image formats, color science, and computational photography principles.
- Experience with large-scale asset management and optimizing for performance with high-resolution media.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
