Keysight is looking for a college intern who is passionate about Artificial Intelligence and excited to apply machine learning techniques to solve real-world problems. As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern, you will support our Data & Analytics and AI teams in developing, training, and evaluating ML models that enhance decision-making, automation, and customer experience across the company.

This role primarily focuses on learning and contributing to end-to-end ML workflows, including data preparation, feature engineering, model development, and performance evaluation. You will gain hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks and cloud-based AI platforms while working alongside experienced engineers and data scientists.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, training, and deploying machine learning models for predictive and analytical use cases.
• Support data preparation tasks such as cleaning, feature engineering, and transformation for ML pipelines.
• Conduct model evaluation, testing, and documentation to ensure performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineers on integrating ML models into scalable pipelines.
• Explore opportunities to optimize model performance and improve inference efficiency.
• Participate in research on emerging ML techniques, including deep learning and generative AI.
• Additional learning opportunities in cloud ML/AI services as available.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a foundation in mathematics and statistics.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Python and ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning concepts; exposure to NLP or deep learning is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms or MLOps practices is beneficial.
• Team-oriented mindset with curiosity to learn and experiment with new AI techniques.
• Currently enrolled in college with a major in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, or related field. May consider business majors with an Information Systems or Data Analytics concentration.

Candidates who wish to be considered must be currently enrolled in a accredited college/university as of September 2026. Applicants who have graduated before September 2026 will not be considered unless they are starting a MS or PHD program after graduating.

California Pay Range: $29.01-31.24 per hour

Based on experience, education and skills, most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above.
