Description
DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior App Developer to assist in the development of frameworks and app features which support the entire Apple Maps ecosystem. This is a phenomenal opportunity for an innovative and experienced engineer to help build new and exciting solutions while being able to contribute to a wide range of Apple experiences! As part of our team, you'll collaborate closely with many internal partners to ensure Maps works seamlessly with upcoming hardware and software releases. Working with teams such as human interface and developer platforms, the ideal candidate will enjoy building solutions where partnership and communication are key.
Responsibilities
- Defining requirements from our partner teams and translating them into scalable, reliable code
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Human Interaction Design, Privacy, and other App and Services related Engineering teams
- Designing, Developing, launching, and maintaining cross-platform features that integrate Maps with the Apple ecosystem
- Providing technical insights and updates about the Maps ecosystem to partner teams
- Learning and adapting quickly to constantly evolving business requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree and 8 years OR MS and 6 years of hands-on engineering experience
- At least 4 years developing with object-oriented programming languages such as Objective-C and Swift
- Proficiency with frameworks such as SwiftUI and UIKit/AppKit
- Ability to define and analyze software solutions and provide clear technical designs for them
- Experience in providing architecture designs of large features in collaboration with other teams and stakeholders
- Keen ability to identify technical risks and provide plans of mitigation
- Proficiency in debugging and performance optimization concepts such as power management and memory management
- Shown ability successfully leading projects and mentoring others

- Shown ability successfully leading larger-scale projects involving multiple teams
- Experience managing performance such as with power management and memory management
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
