We're seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to drive our File Activity Monitoring portfolio - one of our flagship data protection solutions. In this role, you'll own a product that safeguards organizations' most critical data.
You'll function as the strategic owner of your product domain. Your mission will be developing and implementing product strategies that advance Imperva's business goals while collaborating across Marketing, Engineering, UX, Research, Data Science, Sales, and Customer Success functions.
Your scope includes overseeing product development from conception through market launch, maximizing product value realization, expand product innovation using AI capabilities, and identifying opportunities to expand our file security capabilities for current and prospective clients.
Success requires partnering effectively with customers, sales teams, channel partners, marketing, and engineering to drive revenue growth and exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Own complete product lifecycle from strategic vision through tactical implementation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Define product vision and strategy, communicating clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Drive innovative solution development that creates competitive differentiation
Market & Customer Engagement
- Collaborate with marketing to articulate the business case for data security investments
- Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand evolving requirements and validate solutions
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of customer challenges and translate insights into product specifications
- Drive product adoption and expansion within existing customer base
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with Engineering to establish and refine development priorities
- Serve as primary product liaison for sales, technical support, and professional services teams
- Partner with Product Marketing to develop value propositions and competitive positioning
- Support sales activities through product training and deal assistance
Content & Thought Leadership
- Create technical product videos and blog content for customer engagement
- Deliver high-quality technical webinars and customer presentations
- Develop training materials and documentation
Performance & Analytics
- Define and monitor key product metrics to measure success and guide strategic decisions
- Conduct data-driven business analysis with subject matter experts and customers
- Analyze win/loss patterns and drive product and process improvements
- Manage products through entire lifecycle including sunset planning
We need a versatile leader who thrives both in collaborative environments and as an independent contributor, ready to take ownership in a high-growth market segment. The ideal candidate combines hands-on execution with analytical rigor, innovation mindset, and genuine enthusiasm for product development and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years in product management roles
- Industry Knowledge: Cybersecurity background, with strength in unstructured data security solutions- Advantage
- Data Expertise: Understanding of file servers technologies and cloud technologies - Advantage
- Collaboration: Proven success working with diverse, cross-functional teams across multiple regions
- Learning Agility: Self-directed professional with strong autonomous learning capabilities
- Communication: Exceptional presentation and stakeholder communication abilities
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent business experience advantageous
- Technical Foundation: Strong technical background with ability to engage engineering teams
- Methodology: Experience with modern Agile frameworks (SAFE preferred)
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Problem-Solving: Excellence in strategic analysis and creative solution development
- Customer Focus: Experience serving enterprise B2B customers
