JOB OBJECTIVE
As part of its global footprint strategy, Thales Emarat Technologies (TET) is setting-up new state-of-the-art production facilities in the United Arab Emirates to produce locally a portfolio of legacy products in build-to-print mode and new products in build-to-spec mode.
Within the industrial competence center, the senior serial products responsible (SPR) is the technical authority for a given products portfolio under production and contributes to guarantee the competitiveness in line with both the industrial strategy and the products policy. The senior SPR is the direct technical interface of the domains and the technical competence centers during production activities.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Role of technical/product referent:
- Follow and guarantee the level of quality, the reliability and the maturity of the products during the full life cycle
- Guarantee the capitalization/return of experience for the future productions
- Define the applicable configuration during the production launch reviews
- Track performance KPIs to master the processes variability, and manage action plans to improve the performance
- Manage the technical relationship with the customers, including the management of anomalies, the management of corrective actions plans to fix the issues; document and track the anomalies' fixing conclusions
- Contribute to obsolescence management with the BLs development teams
- Act as products technical referent for suppliers in close collaboration with tactical buyers and procurement teams
- Guarantee the validation of ECRs with participation to CCBs, and analyse the collateral financial impacts.
- Manage the application of the ECRs internally and within the supply chain
- Propose and manage action plans to improve the competitiveness
Role of production resilience enabler:
- Punctually reinforce the building blocks integration team if required
- Punctually reinforce the antennas integration team if required
- Punctually reinforce the near-field testing team if required
Role of mentor / transfer of knowledge:
- Contribute to the transfer of knowledge in the UAE by train a junior UAE National SPR (continuous training during 3/4 years)
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
> 10 years of experience in the production of defense radars, ideally with a double experience technician (integration, RF measurements including near-field tests) and production engineer
QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Master/engineering degree (or equivalent) in radiofrequencies with experience defence radar productions
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Technical knowledge of defense radars products and systems
- Knowledge of critical technologies required for this kind of applications
- Experience in production of radars and/or radars sub-systems
- RF measurement
- Near-field testing
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Appetite to transfer the knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
- You speak English with strong communication skills. Arabic as a plus.
