We're looking for a junior Software Engineer to join the APX Bedrock team - the foundation of our platform capabilities. You'll help design and build scalable, user-friendly tools and backend services that make it easier for teams across Apple to manage and operate analytics pipelines efficiently. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Design and build scalable backend services that integrate big data technologies with microservices for real-time and batch data processing - Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and improve platform capabilities - Contribute to the design of intuitive developer tools and automation systems - Stay informed of industry trends and bring forward innovative ideas

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent related experience
• 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in a full-stack or backend role
• Proficiency in building and maintaining backend services using modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go)
• Solid knowledge of SQL and working with relational or analytical databases
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps fundamentals
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts and challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience integrating or leveraging AI models in applications
• Experience with big data orchestration systems like Airflow
• Experience in building CLI tools
• Experience with container orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
