Summary
The Stacker/Grader plays an important role at the end of the production line, ensuring product quality and proper handling of finished materials. This position involves operating forklifts, combi-lifts, and ensuring product quality and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect siding boards or panels for quality, appearance, and defects (such as cracks, warping, color variation, or surface blemishes).
- Assign grades based on established quality standards or specifications.
- Remove or flag defective pieces for rework or disposal.
- Stack finished siding pieces in the correct order, orientation, and quantity.
- Use spacers or protective materials to prevent damage.
- Prepare bundles or pallets for transport or storage, ensuring accurate counts and labeling.
- Work closely with machine operators and quality control staff to maintain production flow.
- Communicate issues such as recurring defects or equipment concerns to supervisors.
- May assist with basic machine cleanup or material handling as needed.
- Completes required documentation such as finished goods, downtime, scrap, etc.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- Uses material handling equipment to stage pallets for storage.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your manager or supervisor.

- Use basic hand and power tools for adjustments, repairs, and preventive maintenance as directed.
- Communicate effectively with team members, maintenance staff, and supervisors about production status and equipment issues.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a team environment.
- Good attention to detail and quality control awareness.
Physical Working Conditions
- Physical stamina for repetitive lifting, bending, and standing.
- Fast-paced manufacturing setting, often near conveyors or automatic stackers.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods (up to 12 hours).
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30- 50 lbs.
- Exposure to dust, noise, and fluctuations in temperature
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection when required.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the pay rate for this position which is $20.00-$25.00 per hour. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can range from 0%-7% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
