Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering and/or equivalent experience/skills
• 2+ years of quality engineering experience
• Familiarity with OS concepts and low level system software, drivers and hardware interactions.
• Strong scripting experience (Proficiency in Python, Shell) and debugging.
• Solid understanding of UNIX-based systems and command-line tools for debugging, analysis, and automation.
• Experience with automated testing tools and CI platforms
• Good understanding of software QA methodologies & practices.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and build systems software.
• Excellent communication skills, meticulous, analytical, methodical and creative problem solver committed to driving quality forward

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to triage and solve problems involving user/kernel boundary, multi-threading and synchronization.
• Understanding of processor power states interactions with other device peripherals.
• Programming experiences in Obj-C, Swift, and shell scripting
• In-depth understanding of iOS and MacOS.
• Familiarity with AR/VR technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to own a complete functional area of an application or product
• Utilizing CI/CD pipelines to automatically execute tests and reporting quality metrics for to drive test improvement

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,800 and $203,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
