Description
Description• Validating RF Exposure test cases for different regulatory domains in certification test setups. • Coordinating with engineers within SAR team to ensure product validation covers all certification tests. • Execute validation plan for RF Exposure facing SW features. • Debugging marginal/failure tests with senior engineers within team and help drive design changes to address issues. • Maintain test setups via periodic checks and calibration. • Help Regulatory Compliance teams in planning/executing on final certification testing at 3rd party test labs.
Responsibilities
- Validate RF Exposure test cases for multiple regulatory domains in certification test setups.
- Collaborate with SAR engineering teams to ensure comprehensive product validation coverage for all certification requirements.
- Execute validation plans for RF Exposure software features and drive design changes to address compliance issues.
- Debug marginal/failing tests with senior engineers and provide technical analysis and recommendations.
- Maintain test equipment through regular calibration, preventive maintenance, and performance verification.
- Support Regulatory Compliance teams in planning and executing final certification testing at third-party laboratories.
- Create technical documentation including test reports, validation summaries, and certification support materials.
- Stay current with RF exposure regulations and testing standards across global markets.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years minimum related experience required.
- Excellent communication skills required, both written & verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience of engineering testing, in particular hands-on experience for wireless measurements.
- Working experience with different lab equipment: network analyzers, signal generators, signal analyzers, call boxes (i.e. CMW).
- Experience with different wireless communication systems such as GSM/UMTS/LTE, 802.11xx, Bluetooth.
- Experience with regulatory requirements and certification process for wireless consumer devices, including FCC, ETSI, 3GPP.
- Experience with 5GmmWave standard and/or hands-on chamber/system level understanding.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $39.22 and $67.32/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
