Job Description

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our ‘80’ customers, managing their accounts, and driving revenue growth. You will serve as the day-to-day main point of contact for our customers, understanding their needs, providing exceptional customer service, and identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth. You will also collaborate closely with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, engineering and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and deliver outstanding client satisfaction.  This role will be based out of our Itasca, Illinois facility.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primary function is to manage the annual plan expectations for the assigned account(s) including forecasting, on time in full deliveries (OTIF), quality performance following up on service-related issues as well supporting the control of receivables.
  • Collaborates with Customer Support Specialist and Operations daily to ensure order fulfilment and executional alignment.
  • Responsible for forecasting activities from customer collection to uploading updates internally.
  • Develop an understanding of the customer and competitive landscape to support value propositions that drive value for our customers and Hi-Cone.
  • Partner with Technical Services as required and relates to operational line efficiencies at customer sites.
  • Provides market visit observations & learnings to KAM, Marketing, and other cross functional partners as appropriate.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required or minimum of 3 years experience in sales and/or customer facing role within manufacturing industry.
  • Proven record of delivering successful results leveraging data to drive decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability for a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Effective time-management skills.
  • Experience with packaging equipment; Consumer Package Goods at retail or beverage industry is a plus.
  • A clear passion to defend and promote the Hi-Cone value proposition.
  • Must be enthusiastic, tenacious, demonstrate a resilience to commercial obstacles to find effective solutions for customers and possess high energy levels.
  • The successful candidate will have integrity, a willingness to learn and a desire to win.
  • Experience with equipment sales
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
