In addition, functional organizations working across the company focus on engineering and program management; technology and development-program execution; advanced design and manufacturing systems; safety, finance, quality and productivity improvement and information technology.

Benefits

BASE PAY
We attract the best people when we pay competitively. Your base pay is determined by a number of factors including the content and level of your daily work and the value of your contribution to the company. It is also influenced by the external marketplace and business environment.

INCENTIVE PAY
Annual incentives are a cornerstone of our pay-for-performance culture. Generally, the better the company does, the better the incentive award opportunities. For most of our workforce, individual performance is also a factor in determining annual incentive payouts. We incorporate our values - with a particular focus on safety, quality, and integrity - into our evaluation of individual performance. We hold ourselves accountable to act ethically and in accordance with our values every day, because that is how we deliver on our commitments to each other, our customers and the world.

RECOGNITION
Employees can also be recognized when going above and beyond normal job requirements in the form of cash awards, eCards, and reward points that can be redeemed for gift cards, branded merchandise, apparel and luxury items.

PAID TIME OFF
Boeing offers:

Paid Time Off (PTO) or Vacation and Sick Leave (depending on your work assignment) and up to 12 holidays per calendar year, including a winter break between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day.
Leaves of absence for many life events, including family and medical leave, pregnancy and adoption (both paid if using earned sick leave time), paid parental leave for mothers and fathers, and military duty.
Time off with pay for jury duty and temporary military service. We provide full pay for two weeks of mandatory annual military training.

Elements of our time off benefits may vary for union-represented employees based on the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

PAID PARENTAL LEAVE
12 weeks off with full pay for both mothers and fathers for the birth, adoption, surrogacy, or placement of a foster child.

ADOPTION ASSISTANCE
We reimburse up to $10,000 of eligible adoption expenses related to the adoption of a child under the age of 18 (for up to two adoptions) and for any age if the child is physically or mentally unable to care for themselves.

BOEING DISCOUNT PROGRAM

THE EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)
The EAP sets you up for success in your personal and professional life. It connects you and your family to no-cost counseling and online resources for navigating life events. You can also receive complimentary confidential referrals for a variety of services in areas such as consumer issues and stress management.

BACK-UP CHILD AND ELDER CARE
Boeing provides employees and their families with back-up child and elder care resources at subsidized rates, providing a safety net for days when regular care arrangements fall through. U.S.-based nonunion employees are eligible for these services. For union-represented employees, eligibility is dependent on collective bargaining and the terms of applicable collective bargaining agreements.

LEARNING TOGETHER PROGRAM
Our industry-leading tuition assistance program offers generous funding to help you enhance your skills—and learn new ones—at hundreds of accredited colleges and universities, online and across the globe. As of January 2022, eligibility begins the first day of the month after you are hired. If you are enrolled in eligible science, technology, engineering and mathematics degree and certificate courses, there is no annual limit on tuition assistance.

DIGITAL LEARNING RESOURCES
You’ll always have access to digital learning and skill-building courses that can be completed in as little as 10 minutes, from any location, using your computer, smartphone or tablet.

EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
A range of programs are offered in areas such as leadership development, project management and business planning.

RETIREMENT BENEFITS
We'll help you save for your future through our market-leading 401(k) retirement savings program.
Matching contributions: Starting January 2022, Boeing will provide a dollar-for-dollar match on the first 10% of base and incentive pay that nonunion employees contribute to their 401(k). Active nonunion teammates as of Dec. 31, 2022, and 2023, will also receive an additional 2% contribution from Boeing.
Immediate vesting: You are 100 percent vested in your savings and the company’s contributions at all times.
Flexible investment options: 401(k) participants have access to a variety of funds that they can use to diversify their investments.
Financial well-being programs: All 401(k) plan participants have access to retirement and financial planning at no additional cost.
If you are union-represented, benefits vary based on the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

TAX-ADVANTAGED ACCOUNTS
As a Boeing employee, you can make tax-free contributions to a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to help cover eligible expenses.

The HSA (available for high-deductible health care plan enrollees) can be used for certain medical expenses. It is portable, and unused funds roll over each year. Many employees receive an annual company contribution to the HSA.
Two FSAs are available: a Health Care FSA, which can be used for certain medical and health-related costs, and a Dependent Care FSA, which can be used to cover eligible child and elder care costs.
LIFE INSURANCE AND ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT (AD&D) INSURANCE
To protect you and your family in the event of death or serious injury, we provide life insurance, AD&D and business travel accident insurance. Some employees have the option to purchase additional life insurance and AD&D insurance. For union-represented employees, life and AD&D insurance benefits vary based on the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

SHORT-TERM AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE
Nonunion employees automatically receive short-term and long-term disability insurance and have the option to purchase additional long-term disability insurance. For union-represented employees, short-term and long-term disability benefits vary based on the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

STUDENT DEBT RESOURCES
Boeing provides employees and their families with access to tools and services to help manage student debt, optimize repayment strategies and provide unbiased refinancing information. U.S.-based nonunion employees are eligible for these services. For union-represented employees, eligibility is dependent on collective bargaining and the terms of applicable collective bargaining agreements.

MEDICAL COVERAGE
Most Boeing locations offer more than one option for medical coverage, allowing you to choose the plan that best meets your needs. These may include a traditional medical plan, a high-deductible plan with a Health Savings Account option (with an employer contribution), and in some locations an HMO and/or low-cost medical plans established with local hospitals and doctors called Preferred Partnership.

All medical plans include:

Coverage for certain preventive care services at little or no cost to you
Coverage for doctor visits, surgery and hospital care
Vision coverage for routine eye examinations, glasses and contacts
Prescription drug coverage, including retail and mail-order options
Coverage for behavioral health and substance abuse services

Starting January 2022, fertility benefits will be included in most health care plans, and a surrogacy assistance program will be available.


DENTAL COVERAGE
Our dental coverage helps you and your family pay for dental care and orthodontia services.

SPECIALTY CARE PROGRAMS
Specialty care programs support a variety of health needs. They include 24/7 telephone access to nurses, pre- and post-natal support for new mothers, and specialist resources for the treatment of complex medical conditions.
